唐啟灃——「親愛的童年」
A two-page illustration for a Hong Kong novelist. I am very grateful for his support.
His concept is to transform "mailbox" into hopeful "believe"
It is with great honor that I have been invited to create illustrations for a two-page spread about "Dear Childhood" novels. I was initially taken aback when Kevin Tong extended the invitation, as it came through the introduction of LoL Coffee shop. Being a relatively unknown artist, I am truly grateful for their recognition and appreciation.
I am deeply humbled by the gracious invitation I have received to craft intricate illustrations for a captivating two-page exposition centered around the cherished tales of our childhood. The unexpected nature of this opportunity, stemming from a serendipitous encounter orchestrated by the esteemed Kevin Tong through the LoL Coffee shop, has left me astounded. As a humble artisan who has yet to gain widespread acclaim, the sheer magnitude of their admiration for my craft resonates with me on a profound level, evoking an overwhelming sense of gratitude within the depths of my being.
This collection of novel illustrations revolves around the theme of boundless imagination and creativity inherent in childhood. Within these artworks, I have incorporated a plethora of whimsical and fantastical elements, infused with the vibrant brushstrokes reminiscent of Vincent van Gogh's color-block style. Transforming the mundane two-dimensional perspective of a "mailbox" into an awe-inspiring three-dimensional viewpoint of "believe," set against a backdrop of profound darkness, I have unleashed the infinite potential of childhood dreams and imaginative endeavors onto the canvas of "believe."
