"Casifire" was my first watercolor painting, or rather, it was the first artwork in my watercolor sketchbook. The cover of the sketchbook had a small rectangular space in the center, so I decided to use this painting as the cover for my book. Although I was still learning the techniques of watercolor at that time, I found it truly marvelous to paint objects inspired by Hayao Miyazaki's creations.
