Manga Series.
In the world of Demon Slayer, one character that truly captivates me is Kyojuro Rengoku, the Flame Hashira. His character embodies strength and tenderness, showcasing a remarkable willpower and unwavering determination to refine and elevate himself. I find his portrayal to be incredibly vivid, and it has become a source of inspiration for me.
In my artistic pursuit, I utilized plastic colors as my medium back in 2020. Although I didn't manage to complete the artwork at that time, I did finish drawing the foreground characters. It's only recently that I finally completed the background. In a departure from conventional depictions, I decided to break the fiery colors into different hues. This choice stems from my belief that not all colors we perceive with our eyes are absolute. The colors reflected in our eyes can be subject to variation.
Through this artwork, I aimed to capture the essence of Kyojuro Rengoku's character and bring it to life on canvas. His unwavering determination and formidable presence are symbolized by the vibrant and dynamic use of colors. The unfinished background serves as a reminder that growth and progress are ongoing processes, just as Kyojuro himself constantly strives to surpass his limits.
Overall, this artwork not only pays homage to my favorite character but also explores the fluidity and subjective nature of visual perception. It invites viewers to contemplate the idea that colors are not fixed entities but rather can be transformed and interpreted in multiple ways.
