Akira is a renowned utopian anime from the previous decade that revolves around futuristic technology. The storyline is rich in scientific knowledge, so there's no need for me to explain or analyze it further. I chose to depict this artwork using watercolors because I have always been fond of intricate and complex illustrations with a technological theme. The most famous protagonist strolls towards a red motorcycle, while the remaining scenes from the manga are incorporated into the background. To achieve greater clarity and precision, I used a fine-tip pen for the background illustrations, as it complements the watercolor medium. I opted against using my most proficient tool, the brush, as it tends to bleed and smudge when combined with watercolors. Moreover, I wanted to focus on honing my skills in watercolor painting, hence the pen served as an auxiliary tool. My primary objective is to showcase the fruits of my practice in watercolor techniques.
